L'Oréal Paris Casting Creme Gloss Demi-Permanent Ammonia-Free Hair Dye 3102 is a demi-permanent, ammonia-free hair color that delivers natural-looking coverage and visible shine.

Product Description

L'Oréal Paris Casting Creme Gloss Demi-Permanent Ammonia-Free Hair Dye 3102 is a gentle ammonia-free hair dye designed to refresh color while leaving hair looking healthy and shiny. Because it is enriched with the Gloss Complex with Glycolic Acid, the formula enhances shine and softness with every application. This demi-permanent dye offers coverage for white hair while blending seamlessly with your natural shade. As a result, hair appears more uniform and luminous, with a finish that reflects light beautifully. In fact, the formula is designed to provide three times more shine and four times more softness compared to untreated hair. Furthermore, the color lasts for up to 32 washes, making it an ideal choice for those who want to update their look without the commitment of permanent color. Meanwhile, the cream texture ensures an easy, even application at home, so you can achieve consistent results from root to tip.

Because the formula is ammonia-free, it is gentle on both the scalp and hair fibers. In addition, the Gloss Complex technology helps preserve radiance, ensuring that the color remains vibrant for longer.

Precautions

Hair colorations can cause allergic reactions, which can be severe. L'Oréal Paris Casting Creme Gloss Demi-Permanent Ammonia-Free Hair Dye 3102 can only be used on head hair. Application on other areas may cause serious reactions (allergies and burns, blindness if the product is used on the eyelashes and eyebrows). Always do an allergy test 48 hours before using the product.

Do not color your hair if:

  • You have a skin rash on the face, or if your scalp is experiencing sensitivity, irritation, or is damaged.
  • You have already had a reaction after coloring your hair.
  • You have already had a reaction to a black henna temporary tattoo or have dyed your hair with henna.

How to use

  • The use of the coloring cream can be renewed every 8 weeks.
  • In the first coloration in long or dense hair, it is recommended to use 2 packs.
  • For optimal results, this hair dye process should be performed on hair in good condition.
  • After a perm or a straightening treatment, it is advisable to wait for 2 to 3 weeks before coloring the hair, and perform a strand test before coloring the hair.
  • Before applying, remove all jewelry from your hands and do not use any metallic object in or around your hair.
  • To avoid staining, apply moisturizing cream to the face contour, near the hairline, and on the ears.

Preparation:

!! Safety Instructions !! Consider carrying out an allergy test on the skin, 48 hours before each use, even if you have colored your hair before. To do so, use a cotton swab to apply a small amount of coloring cream behind your ear. Do not touch, cover, or wash the area. If any sort of reaction occurs, do not use this hair dye.
Remember to place a protective towel on your shoulders, preferably in a dark color (possibility of staining).
Wear disposable gloves and use them throughout the entire coloring process.

  • Mix the coloring cream with the developer.
  • Shake well and apply evenly through the hair.
  • Massage the product and leave it for 20 minutes.
  • Thoroughly rinse the product.
  • Apply the gloss mask and leave it for two minutes before rinsing.

In this section we answer frequently asked questions about L'Oréal Paris Casting Creme Gloss Demi-Permanent Ammonia-Free Hair Dye 3102

What do the numbers on hair dye mean?

The numbers on a hair dye identify its shade. The first number is the level, which shows how light or dark the color is, on a scale from 1 (black) to 10 (lightest blonde), with some brands going up to 11 or 12 for very light blondes. The number after the dot, comma, or slash is the tone, or reflect: most brands use 1 for ash, 2 for iridescent or violet, 3 for gold, 4 for copper, 5 for mahogany, and 6 for red, while 0 means a natural tone. So a 6.3, for example, can correspond to a level 6 (dark blonde) with tone 3 (gold), making it a dark golden blonde. A second tone number, like in 6.34, adds a subtler secondary tone, and a 0, like in 6.60, makes it more intense.

Not every brand uses the same system: the same number can stand for a different tone from one brand to another, and some brands use letters instead. The shade information each brand gives for its own hair dye is always the most reliable guide.

Do I need to perform an allergy test?

Yes. Carry out an allergy test on the skin 48 hours before each use, even if you have colored your hair before. To do so, use a cotton swab to apply a small amount of coloring cream behind your ear. Do not touch, cover, or wash the area for 24 hours. If any sort of reaction occurs, remove the product immediately and do not use this hair dye.

What does ammonia-free mean in hair dye?

Ammonia is an alkaline ingredient that opens the hair cuticle so dye can deposit into the cortex, allowing the hair color to change. It has a strong smell that many find unpleasant. Ammonia-free hair dyes use other ingredients to open the hair cuticle instead, making them a good option for anyone who wants to avoid ammonia or its smell.
