In this sense, these teats are specially designed for babies with difficulty in sucking due to the fact that they cannot create a vacuum with their mouths. Thus, we refer to babies with certain syndromes and neurological disorders, or with cleft lip and palate. That said, this teat provides a regulated and controlled flow of milk that perfectly adjusts to the newborn's abilities and efforts. This, in turn, is sensitive to even the smallest suction effort. In this sense, when the baby wants to stop eating, its valve closes so that the baby is as comfortable as possible. As an extra safety measure, this unilateral valve also prevents air from entering the teat in order to avoid harmful air pockets for the baby. How to use

Before using Medela SpecialNeeds Feeder Nipple x3, wash your hands thoroughly. Then, just fit the teat into the appropriate bottle. To fill it with food, simply press the teat upwards to remove the air. Then turn it down and release the teat to fill it. Repeat the process again until it has the necessary amount of food. To feed the baby, follow the flow guidelines. Then, just feed the baby in the most comfortable way you want, always changing the flow (by rotating the bottle) according to what the baby needs and can handle.
