    Is Schwarzkopf's keratin vegan?

    Keratin is a protein of animal origin, which rules it out for anyone shopping for vegan formulas. And it's everywhere in hair care, especially in products recommended for damaged hair. Schwarzkopf Professional found a way around it: a vegan keratin made up of a sequence of 9 amino acids that behaves much like the real thing.
